There is no denying that social media has been a game-changer in the way a business markets itself. Learn the tactics of internet marketing from one of the area’s leaders in the field, Sage Lewis, when he presents “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised…It Will Be Socialized” on Tuesday, October 25 at 7:00 PM at the Hudson Library & Historical Society.

Lewis, owner of the firm SageRock Digital Marketing in Akron, will focus on hands-on techniques and strategies to make your social media more engaging and successful for your company. “We are going to examine specific strategies to grow your fan base and get them to engage with you more,” he says. Lewis promises “…this is probably not going to be an intro class were we look at setting these channels up. It is going to be focused on growing them.”

Lewis explains the impact of social media: “You are living in a period of unprecedented power given to the common man. There are countless stories where people with no power were given power because of the tools that are available to them today.” He continues, “This has a direct effect to you and your business. The power of revolution not only can topple governments it can topple businesses. We will look at how this is directly affecting businesses of all sizes today and what you can do about it.”

In addition to running his marketing firm, Lewis is the Professional-in-Residence at the University of Findlay, Cleveland State University Social Media and SEO instructor, ClickZ Expert Columnist and Microsoft Advertising Community Guest Blogger. He speaks nationally with Search Engine Strategies and other prominent web marketing organizations.

This free program is part of the Fall 2011 Entrepreneurship Series of events sponsored by the library’s Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship Research.
